Follow Me, relying heavily on the Virtual Number VOIP technology, is often used to help those who regularly travel abroad cut down the international roaming costs up to 90%. A virtual phone number is a telephone number is used to route calls to the user's actual phone number or numbers. A virtual phone number makes it possible for someone within a specified area code call an Foniq's subscriber in another area code as if it were a local call.

Here's how it works

1 - Joe requests for a virtual phone number within a desired area code, let say Singapore. Joe assigns this number to his actual phone number, Thailand as in this example.
2 - Joe flies to Thailand
3 - When Joe's friends in Singapore dial Joe's virtual Singapore number, the call registers as if it were local, but seamlessly maps to Joe's Thailand phone number.
4 - Foniq Server routes the call to Joe's Thailand phone number via VOIP, hence, saving Joe's the cost of international roaming* charges.

As you can see, your actual telephone number can be anywhere in the world, be it Thailand, or Japan, or USA, our server will dial to your phone number using competitive VOIP IDD rates. Foniq typically charges you a small monthly fee for each virtual phone number plus the air time.

Follow Me takes the concept of virtual number one step further by allowing you to define a list of phone numbers. When your virtual number is dialed, the system will sequentially dial through your defined list of phone numbers, either in a preferred order or in accordance with your scheduled activities and locations.
